Hyundai Motors India Ltd has unveiled the i10 electric car during the ongoing Auto Expo 2010. The i10 Electric was also showcased at the Frankfurt Motor Show in mid September 2009.

Hyundai i10 Electric will be powered by a 49kW (66.6 PS) electric motor. The current i10 cars are powered by 1.1 or 1.2 litre petrol engines. The i10 Electric offers dual recharging cycles and would take around 5 hrs to be fully charged, which will enable the car to run for 160 km.

i10 electric is the extension of the committment of Hyundai to develop environmentally friendly cars for the global automobile market.

Hyundai Motor India pavilion at the Auto Expo 2010 will also display its futuristic technology in the form of concept cars/models and designs.
 
Price of i10 Electric in India:
Hyundai India is yet to unveil the car; its price is still unknown but considering the segment the car comes into, it can be said that Hyundai i10 electric will carry a price tag of less than Rs 5 lakhs. We will update you shortly on the price of i10 electric across New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, pune, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Bangalore and other cities
