Delhi Police encounter, Terrorist encounter Delhi Police Inspector Mohan Chand Sharma Dead

Delhi police killed two terrorist in an encounter on Friday but sadly it lost one of its brave officers, inspector Mohan Chand Sharma. The encounter began when the Delhi police was tipped off about the presence of terrorists in Jamia Nagar.

Mohan Chand Sharma, Delhi Polioce Special Cell Inspector, led the encounter at 11 am. Over 30 rounds were fired in the encounter that ensued. The terrorists holed up in Batla House were prime suspects for Ahmedabad, Delhi and Jaipur blasts. Two terrorists, Atif alias Bashir and Sajjad were killed in the encounter while two escaped and one was arrested.

Unfortunately, Inspector Mohan Chand Sharma suffered three bullet injuries in his abdomen which proved fatal and the brave officer succumbed to his injuries eight hours after the encounter.The nation has lost this valiant officer who was a distinguished police officer. Sharma had been awarded 4 president medals and three other police medals.
