According to the available information Bajaj launched the variant of its flagship product Pulsar 220cc on 23rd June 2009. The new Pulsar 220 DTS-I will be the fastest Indian bike.
The new pulsar 220cc is claimed to have a top speed of 140kmph (the current one being 125kmph). An increase of few bhps would suffice to achieve this speed. CNBC TV18 also reports that the new pulsar 220cc will be aggressively priced closed to Rs70,000 (at a massive discount of Rs15,000 from the current one).
Apart from the engine change and price reduction (if true), the new pulsar 220cc will get contemporary black theme and carbon fibre diffuser. It will be pitted against India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd’s R15 and FZ16 models.
