Jmet 2009-2010, iit Bombay, iit delhi, iit kanpur, iit madras, iit kharagpur, iit roorkee, joint management entrance test 2010

Candidates aspiring to take admission in post graduate programs offered by IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee have to appear for Joint Management Entrance Test(JMET) which is only a qualifying examination and students have to apply separately to the institutes of their choice.

JMET 2010 is the first step in the process of seeking admission to the Post-Graduate Degree Programmes in Management offered by IISc and the IITs for the academic year beginning July/Aug 2010.

Commencement of submission of data for ONLINE Application – Monday September 7, 2009


Last date for submission of Application Form
1. Submission of data for Online Application (website closure) – Friday 9 Oct 2009 (6:00 p.m)
2. Receipt of completed Offline and Online Application Form at IISc Bangalore Office – Friday 16th October 2009



Date of Test – Sunday December 13, 2009

HOW to APPLY for IIT JMET 2010

JMET 2010 Application Form has to be submitted ONLINE. ONLINE submission of application can be done by accessing the website of any of the IITs or IISc. There are two modes of applying based on the method of fee payment that you choose.
1. By Core Banking
2. By Demand Draft
The application fee is Rs.350/- for SC/ST/PD candidates and Rs. 750/- for all other candidates. After applying ONLINE, there are some documents that you will have to post to the "Chairman, GATE Office, IISc Bangalore-560012".


JMET 2010 Examination
Candidates will be required to appear in a single paper of three hours duration. The examination will be held from 10:00 hrs to 13:00 hrs on Sunday, December 13, 2009. The question paper will be in english only.

Before applying for JMET 2010, candidates must assure themselves that they are eligible to seek admission to the specific programme they are interested in. The eligiblity criteria for admission to the various management schools are different in various Institutes. For more details, the candidates are required to contact the Institutes to which they are interested in seeking admission.
After qualifying JMET 2010, a candidate has to apply separately to each of the schools / departments of management in various IITs wherein she / he wishes to seek admission. The application duly filled in and signed must reach the concerned Institute by January 30, 2010.

Group Discussions (GD) and Personal Interviews (PI) for candidates seeking admission will be held at the respective Institutes.
