In the year 1966 Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board came in to existence.
A large number of students appear for SSLC (Class 10th) board examinations every year. About 8.69 lakh students appeared for board examinations in 2009.
The board has not yet announced the date-sheet and time-table for the academic year 2010.
