Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday announced that 12,877 constables and about 2000 sub-inspectors (SIs) would be recruited during the current year.

Apart from that, 12,000 special auxiliary police (SAP) jawans would also be appointed. “This time the state government would recruit junior commissioned officers (JCOs),” Nitish Kumar said.
