Argentina were kicked out of the 2010 FIFA world cup by Germany. The favourite South American team was routed by Germany 4-0. The german team took the lead in the 3rd minute itself when Mueller's header shoched the Argentine goalkeeper.

The Argentinian playyers fought very well in the remaining first half but could not convert any of their chances into goals.

In the second half, the Argentinians started off very well but once again they failed to capitalise on their chances. Podolski led the German attack in the second half to help them score the second goal. Miraslav Klose sealed the fate of Argentina by scoring two goals.

With this win, Germany march ahead to semi-finals of the FIFA 2010.
