The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology/IIST offers undergraduates B Tech programme in Avionics, Aerospace Engineering and five year integrated masters in Applied Sciences. THe IIST was set up under the Dept of Space and it also offers post graduate/PG courses and doctoral programmes to ensure enough space experts are produced for the prestigious Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). Along with the regular syllabus, the IIST courses will have special modules specially designed to meet the requirements of space technology and space science.

The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology provides an infrastructure that matches International standards and helps in development an excellent academic and research atmosphere. The 2007-2008 academic session started in a full fledged alternate campus just near to the famous Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre at Thiruvananthapuram/Trivandrum.

ADMISSION:

IIST has already announced the counseling for Admission to BTech (Avionics,Aerospace) & MSc(Applied Science) for the academic year 2008.

The Students who are in the extended list and primary list of IIT-JEE are eligible to register their names for the counseling in the official website (http://www.iist.ac.in/)of the IIST online. The counseling for the academic year 2008-09 is scheduled on 17th and 18th of July, 2008 at Bangalore.
