Canada now has its own Victoria Cross military medal, which will be awarded to its outstanding military officials.
The Canadian Victoria Cross was unveiled by Canadian Governor General Michaelle Jean on Friday. he said that the final decision was taken aftera lengthy discussion.
Victoria Cross was initially created by Britain's Queen Victoria in 1856 and has been been awarded 1,353 times. Out of total 1353 only 94 soldiers from Canada have received the prestigious honor.
