Zimbabwe presidential run-off set for June 27

Zimbabwe Electoral Commission head George Chiweshe said on Friday, May 16, that Zimbabwe's presidential run-off election between President Robert Mugabe and opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai will take place June 27, 2008. The second round election was forced as Democratic Change (MDC) leader Morgan Tsvangirai could not beat Mugabe by enough votes to avoid a run-off.
