The Comon Admission Test /CAT 2008 paper was of a moderate difficulty level. The CAT 2008 paper looked to be more balanced than previous years, mainly due to more choices in the English section.
There is an increase in the total number of questions of CAT - from 75 to 90, and the English section accounted for 40 questions, which is an increase of 15 from last year and Quantitative Aptitute and DI had 25 questions each.
The Quantitative Aptitude section seemed to be less difficult than last few years, though not in an absolute sense.
Data Interpretation/DI was probably the toughest of the lot this time around while the English section, with more choices, was easier to handle.
Here are the expected cut-offs for CAT 2008:
Quant: 30-32
VA: 46-48
DI: 28-30
Overall Cut-off: 125+
