The former prime Minister of India, Vishwanath Pratap Singh, more popularly known as VP Singh has passed away. Vp Singh, who was suffering from Kidney problem for a long time died in New delhi's Appollo hospital on Thursday, November 27, 2008.
V P Singh is credit with having formed first non-Congress coalition government at the Centre dethroning Rajiv Gandhi-led Congress government in the 1989 elections.
V P Singh was battling blood cancer for 18 years and suffering from renal failure. The 77-year-old Singh was also known as 'Raja of Manda', breathed his last at the Apollo Hospital at 2.45 PM. Singh has left behind his wife Sita Kumari and his 2 sons Ajeya Singh and Abhay Singh.
