Jaagore is an interesting venture, set up in partnership with Tata. The venture has a website, www.jaagore.com, where you can get voter ID forms and find information about the nearest polling booth from your home. You can also dial the helpline number to get information on electoral procedures, voting system, voters list etc.
It is heartening to know that Jagoo Re! is one of the first initiatives started by corporate India to help people voice their opinions in the electoral process. Jaagore undermines the philosophy that it is very important for comon people with soild beliefs and ideals to get into electoral politics and exercise their electoral rights.
Jaagore remins all of us that it is very easy to criticise the system for various inefficiencies and ills but unless we vote and exercise our right, we have no right to blame the system and the way political system of India works.
