Reliance Communications Launches GSM Mobile Services

Reliance Communications (Reliance Com), India's No. 2 mobile operator, has rolled out the GSM services, starting from Mumbai. According to Anil Ambani, Reliance Communication has spent 100 billion rupees on expanding GSM services across India. Chairman Anil Ambani further added that R Com plans to spend a further 20-40 billion rupees on building 3G networks.

Reliance GSM Mobile Services will be available in 11,000 towns/cities from Wednesday and the Reliance GSM network will reach around 24,000 towns in a few months.
