Maharashtra deputy CM RR Patil Resigned over Mumbai Terror Attacks, Deputy CM of Maharashtra RR Patil Resignation

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil , submitted his resignation to the Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh owning up moral responsibility for the Mumbai terror siege that killed at least 183 people. R.R.Patil was also the in charge of the state home ministry.

R R Patil resigned three days after the terror strikes and his party chief Sharad Pawar has asked the chief minister to accept his resignation. The issue was raised on Sunday at the all-party meeting convened by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh , which was also attended by Sonia Gandhi along with some parties criticizing the CM for his "casual" attitude.

Now, tremendous pressure is on Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, who is on firing line. The Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh along with film director Ram Gopal Varma and his son Ritesh Deshmukh undertook a tour of the ravaged Taj hotel, and that has attracted a lot of criticism.
